The "Wavemaker"
E&I is pleased to announce the second generation of the guided wave ultrasonic technology named the “Wavemaker”. This technology opens a new era in global inspections capable of characterizing long runs of pipe from a single inspection point.
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing is a full featured system, producing B-Scans and C-Scans with encoder capabilities. The system has been approved for ASME code case 2235-9 and B31 case 181 accepting Ultrasonic Testing in Lieu of Radiography.
Automated Ultrasonic Testing
E&I Hawaii is now offering Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) Services. We have personnel trained in multiple systems from semi-automated to completely automated. All of our systems are completely customizable to each and every clients diverse applications and budgets.
Infrared / Thermography
Infrared and thermal testing is one of many Nondestructive testing techniques designated by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing. Infrared Thermography is the science of measuring and mapping surface temperatures.
Computer Radiography
E&I Hawaii can do high quality image analysis using systems such as the HPX-PRO and HPX-1 Plus.

Corrosion Under Insulation
Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) inspection is a term used to address the inspection of areas that exist between the insulation material and the exterior wall of the pipe. Stripping down the insulation and searching for problem spots is a costly and time consuming process.
Laser Mapping System
The Laser Mapper makes external corrosion mapping practical. The laser beam intensity self-adjusts based on variable surface conditions (dull or shiny) to obtain a depth reading without loss of data. Scanning speeds can be achieved at speeds up to 30 in/sec.
EMAT / GUL Technologies
Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) and Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing (GUL) Technologies are also available.
